This time, i’m
going to talk about Visual Information by using a sample that was
created to explained the project that already submitted and accepted
or the project that still in proposing phase. Before getting to the
sample first, i want to talk about visual information. Visual
information is making a data become easier to understand by making it
into a picture or table. By using picture and table, people can
understand it more faster and easier than just using a wall of text.
That picture is a
map that explain about the project that will happen or in the working
phase. It visualizes the data using map to put all the information
that fit the location. So in essence, this visualization is using a
2-d map to represent all the existance of the project that has been
submitted to the governor.
This map using
aggregration technique to combine all the project that the governor
have to consider. By using aggregration they combine all the data
into one map and put a description for each area that have a project.
Using color to differentiate project with different type of project.
While the shape and the dense of color differentiate the project
that already on development and the one that still have to wait for
approvement.
By using this
map, governor employee can see which project already in the middle of
working so the project that executed won’t collide to each other
and making the budget wasted.
